Welcome To the Plumas County Sheriff's Online Reporting System. 

Please use our online crime report form to report property crimes or vandalism in which you have NO suspect information.  Click on the link below to access the form.  Please follow the instructions when completing the form, then send it to the Plumas County Sheriff's Office  by clicking on the SEND button.  Upon receipt, your information will be reviewed for valid and complete information.  If the report is accepted you will be issued a report number.  BE SURE TO ENTER YOUR CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS ON THE FORM as it will be the only way we provide you with your report number.  If issued, you should receive your report number within 24 to 72 hours.

Burglary

The difference between a burglary and a theft, is that to commit a burglary, one must enter a secured area, such as a home, or vehicle to commit a theft or to commit a felony offense of some other type.

Someone enters your locked or unlocked garage and steals some tools.  Someone breaks the window out of your car and steals your purse.  Someone enters your tent and steals property. 

Lost Property

When property is missing or lost.
Property that is missing, leaving items in restaurant, or missing from home.

Theft- Petty (under $400)

Your property is taken without your permission. (Under $400)
Property known to be stolen and missing may be reported. Lost property is not a theft.

Theft- Grand (over $400)

Your property is taken without your permission. (Over$400)
Property known to be stolen and missing may be reported. Lost property is not a theft.

Vandalism

Defaces or damages property with graffiti or other material.
Knocking down a mailbox, breaking windows, spray painting, writing on a building, sidewalk, fence, etc.

Harassing Phone Call

Unwanted phone calls of an annoying, harassing or threatening nature.

Hang-ups, obscene language, etc.
